North America Leg 1
Vancouver to Seattle
In a landmark moment for Wayve, our AI Driver entered Canada for the very first time, bringing our test fleet across international borders to Vancouver, one of the world’s emerging hubs for AI innovation. While the fleet travelled the full length of the coast, our coverage began in Vancouver. From there, we documented the AI Driver navigating real-world roads down to Seattle—adapting to new signs, road markings, driving styles, and infrastructure without HD maps or localized coding.

Seattle to Detroit
From the Pacific Northwest to the Motor City. In the second leg of our North American Road Trip, the Wayve AI Driver tackled +2,500 miles of real-world roads from Seattle to Detroit, navigating everything from mountain passes to urban highways—without HD maps or hand-coded logic. This stretch proved the power true AI generalization, as our system seamlessly adapted to entirely new terrain it had never seen before. Each city, each mile, is making our foundation model smarter, safer, and more scalable.

As part of our US Roadshow series, the Wayve AI Driver set out on an ambitious journey: from the Great Lakes to the Big Apple. Covering more than 800 miles, this route takes our technology through Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and New York – four cities that challenge every aspect of driving. From wide interstates and complex highway merges to dense urban grids and unpredictable traffic, each location pushes our end-to-end AI driving model to adapt, learn, and perform with human-like intuition.
