About Simone
As Wayve’s VP of Product & Delivery, Simone oversees product development and ensures compliance with automotive quality, safety, and security standards. He also leads the Product, Automotive, and Customer Program teams in defining, prioritizing, delivering Wayve’s Embodied AI solutions for the automotive industry.
With over 15 years of experience developing autonomous vehicle technology, Simone specializes in scaling innovation with a strategic, pragmatic approach. He has a strong track record in program management, product leadership, and P&L ownership.
Previously, Simone served as Vice President of AV Platforms at Mobileye, where he led product, program, safety, and engineering management for highly automated driving platforms (L2+ and above). He played a key role in industrializing and commercializing Mobileye’s cutting-edge self-driving technologies. Before that, he was Senior Director and General Manager of Safety and Compute Platform Industrialization, overseeing the mass production of Mobileye’s compute platforms. He also led System Safety, driving functional safety and SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality) strategies for ADAS and autonomous vehicle programs.
Earlier in his career, Simone held leadership roles at ZF Group, managing radar and camera system engineering and functional safety for driver assistance systems. He began as a system engineer for major Italian and German OEMs, implementing ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 safety standards.
A recognized thought leader in automotive safety, Simone has published research on Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) validation methodologies and hazard severity assessment techniques.
He holds a Business Administration degree from the University of London and a Master’s in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
